Position Purpose

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and scheduling day-to-day operational activities. This includes troubleshooting, health, safety, and environmental compliance, quality assurance/control, cost analysis, technical expertise on operational modifications, and hiring and training of subordinates. The role also involves assisting the immediate supervisor in annual goal setting against forecasted budgets and conducting special exploratory assignments. Additionally, the role requires coordination and follow-up on the waste feed plan to the kiln.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Coordinate and meet kiln waste feed plan.
• Ensure waste tracking and compliance.
• Manage waste discrepancies and rejects.
• Enforce proper use of PPE.
• Respond to emergencies as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulations.
• Arrange and attend required training courses.
• Oversee equipment operations and maintenance.
• Train team members to maintain performance standards.
• Maintain a professional image and address client inquiries.

Qualifications

A BS in Chemistry or a related science discipline (or equivalent experience) is required. 4 to 6 years of hazardous waste experience is preferred. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of DOT, EPA, TSCA, and OSHA regulations, be computer proficient, a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.

Required Certifications

HAZWOPER Certification is required.
