The Position
As a Business Development Associate - Mergers & Acquisitions, you will be responsible for sourcing and developing an acquisition pipeline by researching industry verticals, identifying acquisition targets, and building relationships with founders and executives in software businesses. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will work closely with the senior management team.
- Identify and research attractive acquisition targets.
- Develop and execute targeted prospecting campaigns.
- Communicate the investment strategy and maintain CRM hygiene.
- Continuously explore new industries and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with the M&A Execution team to advance opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong business acumen, excellent multitasking abilities, and the aptitude for relationship building. A solid understanding of business models and financial literacy are important.
- 3+ years in business development, sales, or M&A sourcing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus.
