The Legal Counsel will primarily support the company by reviewing and negotiating a wide array of contracts, including without limitation, services agreements with health care providers and suppliers, but will also assist with other legal matters such as corporate governance, records management, research, compliance, litigation, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and employee matters.Essential Functions And Tasks
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including services agreements with healthcare customers, vendor contracts, confidentiality agreements, software license agreements, settlement agreements, information security agreements, business associate agreements, and real estate transactions.
- Provide advice and counsel on contracts, disputes, risks, and potential legal liabilities.
- Support transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financing.
- Conduct research on relevant legal issues.
- Monitor and advise employees of relevant changes in law, policy, or guidance in the health care industry.
- Support HR department regarding employment-related matters.
- Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal contract support within the company while maintaining the quality and consistency of contracts across the organization.
- Assist the company with its compliance program.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Licensed to practice law in the U.S.
- Preference given to candidates with corporate or healthcare legal experience at a law firm, corporation, or health care related company.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and demands.
- Proficiency in legal research, including Lexis, Westlaw, and other research tools, as well as experience with file and document management technology.

Compensation
Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
