Coding Specialist - Remote in South India

Overview

Ventra Health, a leading business solutions provider, is seeking a Coding Specialist. This is a full-time remote position based in South India for professionals located in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, and Karnataka.

Job Summary

The role focuses on reviewing medical documentation, ensuring accurate coding per CMS, CPT, ICD-10 and Ventra Health guidelines, and providing feedback on documentation discrepancies.

Essential Functions And Tasks

• Analyze medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes.
• Perform MIPS reviews and provider QA as needed.
• Document coding errors and assist with audits.
• Provide feedback on coding discrepancies and documentation deficiencies.
• Support new coder training and collaborate with coding management.

Education And Experience Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required along with RHIT and/or CPC credentials. One year of medical billing experience is preferred, along with knowledge of the 2023 MDM Guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding systems.
• Ability to interpret medical documentation accurately.
• Understanding of modifiers in CPT and state/federal regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
