Role Summary

The Support Engineer Kubernetes & OpenShift provides 24x7 monitoring and first-line support for cloud-native infrastructure including OpenShift, Kubernetes, ArgoCD with Helm-based deployments, and VMs. This role is responsible for incident response, initial troubleshooting, logging and escalation of issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Proactively monitor clusters, workloads, and services; respond to alerts and tickets timely.
  • Kubernetes & OpenShift: Utilize kubectl/oc commands, troubleshoot Helm chart deployments and manage VM issues.
  • ITSM & Communication: Use ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) for incident management and clear stakeholder communication.
  • Shift & Collaboration: Operate in a 24x7 rotational shift; collaborate with client engineers and internal teams.

Required Skills

  • 1-5 years experience in support, system administration, or DevOps environments.
  • Basic working knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with ArgoCD and Helm.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux shell troubleshooting.
  • Experience with ITSM tools and ticketing processes.
  • Good communication skills and strong analytical abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
  • Experience in documenting SOPs and runbooks.
