Overview
Join Velera, the nation’s premier payments credit union service organization and integrated fintech solutions provider. In the role of VP, Technology Compliance, you will be the subject matter expert for maintaining PCI, NIST-CSF, and other technology certification programs.
The Opportunity
This role oversees technology audits, risk and compliance strategies, and programs. You will develop and maintain policies, standards, processes, and procedures to assess, monitor, report, escalate, and remediate technology compliance issues. You will collaborate with corporate compliance, internal auditing, corporate risk management, and technical teams to implement audit, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance practices for Velera’s cyber program.
- Oversee programs ensuring compliance with PCI and cyber frameworks
- Monitor technology risk trends and recommend improvement policies
- Direct teams in the implementation and monitoring of controls
- Collaborate on audit responses and risk assessment procedures
- Manage vendor oversight and coordinate external audits
Day in the Life
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining favorable status with VISA and MasterCard
- Overseeing cyber regulatory documentation and vendor partner oversight
- Leading compliance programs for frameworks like NIST CSF
- Reporting on and monitoring KPIs
- Setting identity strategy and managing compliance teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- CISM/CISSP/CISA Certification required
- Eight years of leadership in technology risk management, compliance, or audit
- Experience within financial services or payments industry
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
