The Opportunity
The Marketing Content Specialist develops and directs marketing content to support overall audience-based marketing strategy. This role collaborates with Product Marketing, Communications, Brand Management, and Demand Generation teams to determine strong positioning and go-to-market messaging. The role focuses on creating content that connects through the buying journey with clear call to actions, driving revenue growth and retention.
Day in the Life
- Writes concise, engaging content for various channels including social media and paid media.
- Updates website content including landing pages and product pages.
- Repurposes long form content into infographics, video clips, and social posts.
- Collaborates on audience segmentation and personalization strategies.
- Develops and manages newsletters for Velera and Primax brands.
- Uses insights from analytics to refine content formats and distribution.
- Implements multi-channel content marketing with consistent tone and style.
- Manages editorial and email calendars for workload visibility.
- Works with cross-functional teams to maintain brand voice and SEO optimization.
- Analyzes content performance to inform future strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field. Minimum three years of experience in marketing, content strategy, or social media management. Experience in the financial services industry and multi-channel content creation is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience in content analytics, Google Analytics, Pardot, and Sprout Social.
- Strong written communication skills in both long and short form.
- Knowledge of financial services and credit union industries.
- Effective PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of Velera products and solutions.
- Expertise in SEO strategy, social media marketing, and storytelling.
- Ability to make quick, accurate decisions and adapt to change.
- Strong collaboration skills with diverse internal teams and vendors.
