The Opportunity
The Analytics Business Specialist Remote supports the product lifecycle by researching and providing groundwork for analytics product improvements and updates in support of strategic goals. This role identifies initial concepts or reported issues, assesses impact, develops action plans, and documents requirements for work-efforts. The specialist works closely with internal and external end-users to translate business needs into actionable solutions using Velera Member Insight solutions.
Day In The Life
- Assist credit unions and internal users in report creation.
- Research data issues and report solution improvements.
- Design and develop new reports for complex business challenges.
- Create and maintain training materials and educational assets.
- Facilitate training classes and promote analytic tools.
- Define and execute iterative design processes and product lifecycles.
- Participate in project definition and documentation of business requirements.
- Collect and analyze data from various sources for remediation plans.
- Develop use cases and execute test scripts for user acceptance.
- Support business implementation and address end-user adoption hurdles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Data Science, Applied Math, Business Intelligence or a related discipline is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least three years of product service/support or client relationship experience in the financial services industry is required. Additionally, two years of experience in a Data Analyst or Business Analyst role working with large datasets, and preferably two years of experience with data delivery or analytic tools/applications.
