The Role

As the Hardware Product Manager at VEIR, you will lead the development and evolution of our product lines from conception through launch. You will work as a key link between engineering, commercial, and customer-facing teams. Your responsibilities include translating technical innovations into market-ready solutions, conducting customer discovery, market research, and aligning cross-functional teams.

In the First 3 Months

  • Ramp up on VEIR’s product portfolio and refine business cases.
  • Learn detailed technical requirements and product specifications.
  • Conduct customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Create strategic product documents outlining business cases and ROI.

In the First 6 Months

  • Partner with commercial teams to deliver detailed technical product knowledge.
  • Lead NPI stage gates ensuring product development is on track.
  • Define product requirements from customer needs and regulatory standards.
  • Plan and execute product promotional activities with marketing.

By the End of the First Year

  • Define market opportunities and present detailed market analysis.
  • Develop technical collateral including specs, whitepapers, and sales tools.
  • Establish value propositions and messaging for product launches.
  • Maintain the product roadmap balancing short and long-term goals.
  • Act as a cross-functional leader aligning various teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 2-5 years of product management experience, preferably in industrial hardware products.
  • Proven experience managing NPI lifecycles for hardware products.
  • Experience in energy infrastructure, power electronics, or data center solutions is a plus.
  • Skilled in voice of customer interviews, competitive analysis, and use case validation.
  • Familiar with stage-gate development processes and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
