About The Role

As the Software Engineering Manager for Veho’s Marketplace teams, you’ll lead the strategy and execution for the team as they work closely with Product to build out features and functionality in our pricing, offering and routing APIs, as well as internal UIs and driver facing mobile applications. You will partner with product, engineering, data science, and operations stakeholders to deliver impact in the marketplace and route building spaces. On a daily basis, you will help solve tactical problems that improve and redefine the marketplace experience.

Responsibilities Include

  • Lead development lifecycle of Driver Marketplace and Core Route Building teams.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define strategy and execute roadmaps.
  • Instill best practices in software development and documentation.
  • Manage prioritization, planning, and execution of projects and features.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and lead engineering efforts under aggressive timelines.
  • Monitor operational performance of production services.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes.
  • Directly manage engineers including performance and growth management.
  • Possess technical know-how with hands-on development when required.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years in engineering leadership and management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in building high performing teams.
  • Strong background in scalable application design using Javascript, Typescript, React, Node.js, DynamoDB, and Postgres.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary ranging from $187,000 to $210,000 per year, equity package, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, generous PTO and more.
