The Senior Consultant - MedTech Clinical Operations Role

Veeva Systems is seeking consultants with strong system implementation experience and a passion for optimizing Clinical Operations data and document management processes for MedTech customers. Our Clinical Suite offers a unified platform for clinical trial management, including eTMF, CTMS, Payments, Site Connect, and Study Training, tailored for Medical Device, Research, and Diagnostics Companies.

As a member of our Professional Services team, you will analyze customer business processes, shape future state visions, identify clinical needs, translate requirements into solution designs, and define global deployment strategies for our cloud-based solution across enterprises.

This is a remote position within the United States, with a preference for Eastern or Central Time Zone. Travel up to 50% may be required if near an airport.

What You'll Do

• Lead MedTech customers through their clinical transformation using Veeva Clinical applications.
• Partner with customer SMEs and business leaders to analyze, develop, and implement Clinical Operations processes.
• Identify pain points and gaps in current state business processes and system functionality.
• Define roll-out strategies for global deployment of Veeva Clinical across teams.
• Serve as the primary customer liaison, managing communication between project teams and stakeholders.
• Represent Professional Services across multiple engagements, including solution design, configuration, data migration, and systems integration.
• Mentor project team and junior consultants within the Professional Services organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience implementing clinical systems and processes, such as Clinical Trial Management systems, Investigator portals, and study training solutions.
• Working knowledge of life sciences compliance, clinical trial operations, and day-in-the-life business processes.
• Ability to quickly understand business use cases and translate them into process and business improvements aligned with Veeva Clinical best practices.
• Experience implementing software systems, comprehending business requirements, and creating corresponding solution designs.
• Proven expertise in customer leadership and mentoring team members.
• Demonstrated history in stakeholder management, critical thinking, complex technical communication, and determination for customer success.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

• Direct experience with clinical systems like Oracle Siebel, goBalto, BioClinica CTMS, Medidata Rave, Parexel IMPACT, Clinical Conductor, PhlexEView, Trial Interactive, DrugDev, WingSpan eTMF, Complion, Florence eBinders, Forte Oncore/eReg, Veeva Vault, NextDocs, Documentum, SharePoint.
• Consulting experience with a major software vendor or process management consulting group.
• Life Science, computer science, biochemical, or mechanical engineering degree.
• SaaS/Cloud experience.

Compensation

The base pay for this remote U.S. role ranges from $80,000 to $200,000, with actual salaries depending on experience and location. This position may also be eligible for variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
