The Role: Performance Engineer
In this role, you will work closely with developers and product management to test, optimize, and troubleshoot the performance of Veeva's software products. You will gather and analyze performance data, identify bottlenecks, and develop tools to automate monitoring.
What You'll Do
- Define and achieve performance/scalability benchmarks for Veeva products
- Utilize profiling tools such as Yourkit and JMeter
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to resolve performance issues
- Monitor production performance and investigate issues
- Develop tools to automate performance monitoring
Requirements
- 3+ years in Performance Engineering and Benchmarking
- Proficiency in Java, MySQL, Python, and Shell scripting
- Hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools
- Expertise in distributed computing systems and use of profiling tools
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker, AWS, and GIT
Nice to Have
- Understanding of modern databases like Redshift
- Experience with search tools such as SOLR

Compensation
Base pay ranges from $100,000 - $150,000 CAD, with potential additional compensation including bonuses or stock options based on individual qualifications and contributions.
Location
Veeva’s headquarters is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices in more than 15 countries.
