Job Description

About the Role

At Vattenfall Europe Sales GmbH, we are seeking a Senior Process and Quality Manager, full-time or part-time, to join us starting immediately in Berlin or Hamburg.

In this role, you will ensure that processes are implemented efficiently, economically, and with high quality. You will systematically analyze cause-and-effect relationships, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement across the entire value chain. A special focus will be on automation, the technical end-to-end view, and data flows – particularly in the interaction between the central middleware DaVIS and connected systems like SAP CRM and the automated processing of work items.

You will represent your area internally and externally as a competent point of contact for process and quality management.

Your Challenges

  • You will steer the continuous improvement process both internally and across departments and the company.
  • You will conceptualize and manage the process and quality management system, define and develop quality standards and processes, assess risks of critical process steps, and implement quality assurance and development measures.
  • You will initiate, decide on, and implement measures for process optimization, ensure compliance with defined quality standards, reduce costs, and minimize risks.
  • You will advise product management on the feasibility of products along the entire value chain from economic and risk perspectives.
  • You will represent your department as the central point of contact for all matters concerning process and quality management, both within BU Sales and across the company.
  • You will bring deep knowledge of the technical challenges in billing dynamic tariffs according to EnWG41a and 41b.
  • You will possess extensive knowledge of the technical and professional challenges in the market location ID identification process.
  • You will collaborate on IT concept creation, implementation, and further development, with a focus on contract management in SAP CRM/IS-U.
  • You will participate in the implementation of ABAP-based solutions in the area of contract management (SAP CRM/IS-U).
  • You will analyze the specifications of BDEW and edi@energy in market communication (e.g., GPKE, application manuals, EBD, code lists) and ensure their proper implementation.
  • You will take over 3rd-level support for SAP CRM/IS-U in contract management and contract replication (e.g., error analysis, corrections, evaluations, and user support), especially in the context of possible special regulations according to 22 EnFG.
  • You will conceptually develop new requirements and products, coordinate with the client, conduct benefit analyses, accompany implementation including coordination of the internal IT service provider, create test case catalogs, conduct tests, perform technical acceptance, and create work instructions.
  • You will regularly implement system adjustments for electronic data exchange, particularly regarding special regulations according to 22 EnFG, GPKE specifications, and requirements of the Federal Network Agency.
  • You will create ad-hoc reports from SAP CRM.
  • You will actively participate in various projects.
  • You will prepare and independently conduct tests.
  • You will support newly introduced processes in production, create work instructions, and develop new requirements for the further development of the SAP system.
  • You will handle complex case constellations along the entire value chain.
  • You will take on cross-functional tasks in daily operations, analyze errors, process system-technical issues, and handle incident messages in the context of SAP CRM/IS-U.
  • You will ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Qualifications

  • You have a completed degree from a University of Applied Sciences or a university with a relevant focus, or a comparable qualification.
  • You have several years of relevant professional experience in process and/or quality management.
  • You have completed further training in process and quality management.
  • You possess very good knowledge of industry-specific IT and process systems, as well as a strong understanding of end-to-end processes and system landscapes.
  • You know the processes in your field in detail and understand their interrelationships along the value chain.
  • You have very good knowledge of the energy industry and are well acquainted with the mechanisms of the liberalized electricity and gas markets.
  • You have native-level German language skills and very good English skills.

Furthermore, You Are Characterized By

  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to systematically grasp complex relationships.
  • An independent, solution-oriented approach and decisiveness.
  • A high awareness of quality and costs.
  • Very good communication skills and the ability to confidently involve diverse stakeholders.
  • Enjoyment of cross-departmental collaboration and active shaping and further development of processes.
