What We Look For In a NBE Tutor
- Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of National Board Examination content for funeral service, covering embalming, funeral directing, pathology, microbiology, chemistry, restorative art, funeral service counseling, business management, and regulatory compliance. Ability to explain complex concepts and prepare mortuary science students for national board certification.
- Strategic Test-Taking & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching embalming procedure analysis, regulatory compliance, and business scenarios. Guides students through case scenarios, applying rules, counseling families, and managing operations, emphasizing the connection between scientific knowledge and practical application.
- Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiarity with NBE content areas and common challenges. Adapts instruction using practice examinations, case studies, and scenario analysis to support students preparing for certification.
- Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify student struggles, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt to individual learning needs and styles. Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
