What We Look For In a ARRT - Radiography Tutor

• Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of ARRT Radiography examination content covering patient care, radiation safety, image production, imaging procedures, and equipment operation. Ability to explain radiographic positioning, exposure factors, radiation protection principles, and image quality evaluation while preparing radiologic technology graduates for ARRT certification and clinical practice.
• Strategic Test-Taking & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching positioning visualization, exposure technique selection, and radiation safety application for ARRT examination. Guides students through determining optimal patient positioning, selecting appropriate technical factors, evaluating image quality, applying radiation protection measures, and recognizing imaging artifacts. Emphasizes connecting physics principles to practical imaging technique optimization for diagnostic quality radiographs.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with ARRT Radiography examination content and common challenges such as memorizing positioning routines, understanding exposure factor relationships, and applying radiation safety principles. Adapts instruction using positioning practice, physics review materials, and ARRT-style practice examinations to support radiologic technology graduates preparing for national certification.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles. Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
