The Role: Incident Response Security Analyst

The Incident Response Security Analyst at Varonis will be pivotal in maximizing customer value through direct engagement. This role involves providing customer-facing services such as incident response, investigations, alert reviews, and security posture assessments. The analyst must possess an intimate knowledge of Varonis’ platforms and demonstrate a dedicated career path in detecting and responding to insider threats and cyberattacks. You will develop expertise in various security ecosystems, including SIEM, SOAR, ITSM, EDR, IPS/IDS, Active Directory, Firewall, and DNS, further enhancing Varonis’ role as a key component in comprehensive security programs. This position also includes participation in Incident Response operations, coordinating efforts across multiple regions and departments, and educating both customers and Varonis employees on platform capabilities, cyber threats, and security trends. The analyst will also engage in technical sales-related activities to support customer renewals and identify upsell opportunities, comfortable demonstrating business value to both technical and C-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Threat Detection & Response outcome-oriented initiatives to Varonis customers.
• Consult with customers to ensure Varonis’ products are integral to their Security Stack and Security Program.
• Integrate Varonis’ products into customer security ecosystems and threat detection workflows.
• Monitor for security threats and operational impact relevant to Varonis’ Threat Detection and Response mission.
• Participate in Incident Response (IR) Operations, assisting IR Management in coordinating activities across multiple regions and departments.
• Contribute to Product Operations by identifying value inhibitors and escalating them to leadership and product management.
• Deliver sales presentations, present technical information about Varonis’ products and services, and conduct product demonstrations.
• Coordinate with Account Teams, IR Teams, and Architect teams to leverage company resources effectively.
• Continuously develop and expand security knowledge.
• Demonstrate passion and dedication within a fast-paced, high-impact organization and its mission.
• Document, track, and manage work via Salesforce.

Qualifications

• 3+ Years of experience in a Security Analyst or Engineer role; 5+ years preferred.
• 1+ Years of Varonis experience is a significant advantage.
• Proven ability to document and track activities.
• Demonstrated technical sales or technical sales-related experience.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Experience in presenting and persuading key stakeholders is a plus.
• Proven time management and self-initiative skills.
• Experience working with Asian Pacific customers is a plus.
• Based in Australia.
