Job Overview
Vantaa City's Facility Management is seeking a Technical Property Manager for a permanent position. In this role, you will work in the maintenance team as a key player in ensuring the lifecycle of Vantaa City's facilities. You will act as a maintenance expert and be responsible for managing and supervising various repair projects.Key Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and developing maintenance and repair strategies that impact the functionality, safety, and long-term value of city facilities.
- Conduct property inspections and surveys, guide the planning of repair projects, and manage project schedules and budgets from start to finish.
- Be actively involved in construction preparation, lead and supervise site implementation, and ensure projects are managed through to acceptance and the warranty period.
- Combine technical expertise, holistic management, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge of construction and property maintenance laws, regulations, and contract practices in practical situations.
- Identify broad contexts while also focusing on details to ensure quality and durable results.

About the Team
The Facility Management service unit within Vantaa City's City Environment sector includes functions related to the planning, construction, and maintenance of city facilities. Vantaa City directly owns approximately 800 buildings with a technical value exceeding 900 million euros. The Facility Management unit employs around 70 people, most of whom have technical backgrounds including architects, engineers, and technicians with specializations in building construction, structural engineering, HVAC, electrical engineering, automation, and property management.
Qualifications
- Suitable lower university degree or polytechnic degree, plus experience in similar roles.
- Knowledge of property and building legislation, official regulations, and contract terms.
- Good understanding of construction engineering.

- Previous experience in similar roles.
- Familiarity with public administration.
- Additional training in property maintenance and renovation.
- Expertise in repairing moisture and indoor air problems.
- Good interaction and problem-solving skills.
- Modern ICT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Employment Details
- Salary: €3,964.76/month, plus potential additions based on prior experience.
- Work Hours: 36 hours 15 minutes/week.
- Probationary Period: 6 months.
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.
