Job Description

Event Producer, Museum Services

The City of Vantaa, Urban Culture and Library Services, City Museum, Håkansbölen Manor

Kartanontie 1, 01200 Vantaa

Employment relationship: Permanent, starting from April 20, 2026, or by agreement.

About the Role

Join us in creating impactful museum work through events at the City Museum of Vantaa's sites: the museum detailing Vantaa's history in Tikkurila and Håkansbölen Manor in Hakunila. Events are a central part of the City Museum of Vantaa's operations. We organize workshops, guided tours, events, and lectures at our museum sites. As an Event Producer, you will be part of the City Museum of Vantaa's team of about twenty people.

We are looking for an experienced Event Producer for the City Museum of Vantaa and Håkansbölen Manor Museum, who combines creative conceptualization, smooth production, and a strong collaborative approach.

What you will do in this role?

As an Event Producer, you will get to plan and implement a diverse event program, which includes larger events connecting regional actors as well as smaller encounters that support social well-being. Additionally, you will participate in the implementation of tourism services at Håkansbölen Manor Museum and in the development of the manor museum as a cultural tourism destination.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning, production, and development of events for both City Museum sites
  • Project management and leadership, coordinating schedules, resources, and budgets
  • Collaboration with museum staff, internal stakeholders, as well as external producers, creative professionals, and other partners
  • Ensuring event safety plans
  • Planning and execution of communication, marketing, and sales for events and tourism services
  • Using the museum's sales and booking system, as well as updating social media and websites
  • Procurements and other practical arrangements for productions
  • Coordinating the event working group for the Håkansbölen Manor area.

We expect from you:

  • Experience in event production and proven success in implementations
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and coordination skills
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent interaction and cooperation skills
  • Vision and creativity, with an interest in the museum and cultural field
  • Good IT skills
  • Customer-oriented service approach
  • A B driver's license
  • Good spoken and written Finnish and English skills; good Swedish skills are considered an asset.

You are the person we are looking for if you are excited about creating event concepts and can combine creative planning with determined execution.

We offer you:

You will get to create a new museum site, Håkansbölen Manor Museum, and unique experiences for both our museum sites. With us, you will work in truly unique historical environments in the heart of urban Vantaa.

The Vantaa History Museum in Tikkurila presents the past of the Vantaa region over 10,000 years in its exhibitions. A main exhibition on Vantaa's history will open at the museum site in the fall of 2026. Rotating exhibitions always offer something new to experience at the museum. Håkansbölen Manor Museum tells the history of the manor and its inhabitants. A permanent exhibition, a space for temporary exhibitions, and a museum shop will open in the main building in June 2026. Exhibitions in the outbuildings are open during the summer.
