About the Role
Come do impactful museum work with events at the Vantaa City Museum's locations: the museum telling the history of Vantaa in Tikkurila and Håkansböle Manor in Hakunila. Events are a central part of the Vantaa City Museum's operations. We organize workshops, guided tours, events, and lectures at our museum locations. As an Event Producer, you will be part of the Vantaa City Museum's team of about twenty people.
We are looking for an experienced Event Producer for the Vantaa City Museum and Håkansböle Manor Museum who combines creative conceptualization, smooth production, and a strong collaborative approach.
What you will do in this role?
As an Event Producer, you will plan and implement a diverse event program, including larger events that connect regional actors as well as smaller encounters that support social well-being. You will also participate in the implementation of tourism services at Håkansböle Manor Museum and in the development of the manor museum as a cultural tourism destination.
Your responsibilities include
- Planning, production, and development of events for both City Museum locations
- Project management and leadership, coordinating schedules, resources, and budgets
- Collaboration with museum personnel, internal stakeholders, as well as external producers, creative professionals, and other partners
- Ensuring the safety plans for events
- Planning and implementation of communication, marketing, and sales for events and tourism services
- Using the museum's sales and booking system, as well as updating social media and websites
- Procurements and other practical arrangements for productions
- Coordinating the event working group for the Håkansböle Manor area.

- B driver's license
- Good spoken and written Finnish and English skills; good Swedish skills are considered an asset.

In the autumn of 2026, the main exhibition on Vantaa's history will open at the museum site. Changing exhibitions always offer something new to experience at the museum. Håkansböle Manor Museum tells the history of the manor and its inhabitants. A permanent exhibition, a space for changing exhibitions, and a museum shop will open in the main building in June 2026. Exhibitions in the outbuildings are open during the summers.

Employment Details
- Eligibility Requirement: Suitable higher education degree (e.g., cultural producer, AMK).
- We consider an asset: Previous experience in audience engagement at museums or cultural institutions, good teamwork skills, and an understanding of the production and sales of tourism destination services are considered an asset for the applicant.
- Terms of employment: Determined according to the Municipal General Public Service and Employment Relationship Agreement (KVTES).
- Salary: 2941.75 euros/month, plus possible additions based on previous work experience.
- Number of vacancies: 1
- Probationary period: 6 months probationary period applies to the position.
- Full-time/Part-time: Full-time
- Type of employment: Employment relationship
- Working hours: 36 h 15 min/week, the position may also include occasional evening work. We work in a hybrid model, so partial remote work is also possible when the workload allows.
