About the Role

As Vanta continues to expand upmarket, we have a significant opportunity to redefine how compliance workflows are designed, automated, and executed. Our upmarket customers operate with increasingly sophisticated, highly customized compliance processes. The ability to support and automate these workflows directly within Vanta represents a powerful lever for differentiation and long-term growth.

As a Staff Product Designer, AI Powered Workflows at Vanta, you will define a net-new experience vision, strategy, and execution for a highly AI-centric workflow builder. You’ll partner cross functionally to align others around your vision and execution, championing your experience strategy to scale your customer impact. You’ll enable Vanta to serve our most complex enterprise use cases while opening up an entirely new class of automation and extensibility across the product.

What you will do as a Staff Product Designer, AI Powered Workflows at Vanta:

  • Lead the design and execution of strategic projects that deliver substantial customer value and impact multiple departments.
  • Conduct customer discovery to inform product strategy, helping to craft compelling narratives that support the vision and objectives.
  • Identify and lead design-driven initiatives with organization-wide impact.
  • Enhance the influence of the Design organization by working openly, sharing customer insights, communicating design solutions, and improving the ways we work.
  • Mentor other designers, helping to refine concepts and elevate design quality.
  • Contribute to and refine our design system to ensure it aligns with strategic goals while maintaining consistent, high-quality design standards.

How to be successful in this role:

  • 8-10+ years of experience delivering high-quality B2B SaaS products on large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of maintaining high executional quality and organizational impact.
  • Independent in driving discovery processes and leveraging customer insights to inform product strategy and define design directions.
  • Skilled in leading the design process from ambiguity to concept and execution for entire product areas.
  • Strong ability to mentor and influence others, including senior and executive management teams.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex problem-solving.
  • Proven success in driving design strategy, systemic thinking, and strong product sensibility.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in managing complex projects, timelines, and proactive escalation handling.
  • Portfolio required, showcasing consumer-grade craftsmanship and effective product solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
