Role Overview
The Engineering Manager, Monetization will lead our monetization platform team to reimagine Vanta’s customer lifecycle infrastructure by unifying entitlement management, usage tracking, and billing into a cohesive platform. This role directly impacts Vanta's growth trajectory by solving technically interesting distributed systems problems at the intersection of product, finance, and sales.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend and full-stack engineers.
- Define and execute technical strategy for a unified monetization platform.
- Build scalable APIs and reusable UX components for customer access.
- Champion operational excellence, engineering best practices, and sustainable delivery.
Success Factors
- 3+ years managing technical teams of six or more engineers.
- Proven record in scaling backend or platform systems in transaction-heavy domains.
- Strong decision maker skilled in balancing ambiguity with quality and speed.
- Excellent collaboration with engineering, product, and go-to-market stakeholders.
