Accounting Manager

About the Role

At Vanta, our mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. As an Accounting Manager, you will own key areas of the general ledger, lead the close process, and scale our accounting operations as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and quarter-end close process ensuring timely financial statements.
• Manage accounting and compliance for international subsidiaries under US GAAP.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare complex journal entries and provide technical accounting support.
• Support audits, design internal controls, and maintain accounting policies.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Drive process improvements and implement accounting tools and automation.

Qualifications

Applicants should bring 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (including 2+ years in a supervisory role), a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and CPA is strongly preferred. Experience in a SaaS or technology environment with strong ERP (NetSuite preferred) and Excel skills is essential.
