About The Technical Sourcer Role

We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Technical Sourcer to identify and engage top-tier technical talent. In this high-ownership position, you will collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers to build robust pipelines for critical roles across engineering, data science, product, and other technical domains. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to scale effectively and rapidly.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy candidate research, value personalized outreach, and thrive in fast-paced, technically-driven environments.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to thoroughly understand specific role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Proactively identify, engage, and qualify passive technical talent through diverse channels like LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Twitter, specialized forums, and industry events.
  • Craft compelling and personalized outreach messages that accurately convey Vannevar's culture, values, and mission.
  • Manage and meticulously maintain candidate pipelines utilizing our Applicant Tracking System (e.g., Greenhouse).
  • Monitor the competitive talent landscape, identify emerging trends, and implement innovative sourcing techniques.
  • Track and report key sourcing metrics, including reach rates, response rates, and pipeline conversion performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3+ years of experience in a sourcing or recruiting role, preferably within a high-growth tech company or agency setting.
  • Familiarity with various sourcing tools and platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Hiretual, and AmazingHiring.
  • Strong foundational understanding of technical roles, relevant technology stacks, and industry terminology (e.g., software engineering, Machine Learning, infrastructure, DevOps, security).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective candidate engagement and internal collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and data-driven approach to sourcing and pipeline management.
  • Self-starter mindset with a strong bias toward action and a willingness to experiment with new strategies.
  • A genuine passion for building diverse and inclusive teams that contribute to our mission.
