Junior Portfolio Manager

Position Summary

As a Junior Portfolio Manager at VanEck Asset Management B.V. in Amsterdam, you will join a team of 9 investment professionals. This role involves managing 37 UCITS ETFs with a total Asset Under Management (AUM) of approximately USD 40 billion, contributing significantly to the firm’s investment operations and strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the investment team to manage 37 UCITS ETFs.
• Monitor portfolio exposures, corporate actions, cash flows, and risk metrics.
• Conduct thorough performance attribution analysis to understand drivers.
• Execute trades across equities, fixed income, and FX markets.
• Support and streamline post-trade processes.
• Identify and implement improvements/automation for operational workflows.
• Perform both ad-hoc and recurring quantitative analyses.
• Participate in cross-functional projects within the organization.
• Maintain strong familiarity with VanEck's existing products, operational capabilities, and market developments.

Education and/or Experience

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or a closely related field is required.
• Interest in digital assets is considered a significant plus.
• Prior internship experience within the asset management or banking industry is advantageous.
