Digital Assets Fund Administration Manager

The Portfolio Operations team is looking for a Fund Administration Manager to join their growing team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and regulatory requirements of investment products registered under the Securities Act of 1933, with a focus on cryptocurrency and digital asset funds, as well as 1940 Act Interval and Tender Offer funds. This role requires a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP financial statements, Form 10-K and Form 10-Q requirements and digital asset investment vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following; other duties may be assigned as needed:

  • Administer and coordinate the operational and regulatory processes for funds registered under the 1933 Act, including cryptocurrency and 1940 Act Interval and Tender Offer funds.
  • Oversee the preparation, review and coordination of regulatory filings including quarterly Form10-Q and annual Form 10-K, Shareholder reports, NCSR, TSR, NCEN, and NPORT.
  • Review and maintain certain fund documentation such as prospectuses, S-1 filings, and offering materials in coordination with legal and compliance teams.
  • Support new product development, launch, and registration activities for crypto-based and 40 Act Interval and Tender Offer funds.
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of NAV calculations, fund expense accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including custodians, crypto custodians, fund accountants, auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on fund governance, risk management, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory frameworks governing digital asset funds and 40 Act products.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, S-1, N-1A, 485 filings).
  • Understanding blockchain data analysis, on-chain reconciliation, staking rewards and crypto custody auditing.
  • Strong technical understanding of digital asset valuation, custody mechanics, and exchange trading processes.
  • Strong familiarity with mutual fund operations and Investment Company Act of 1940 requirements.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field is preferred, but other related degrees will be considered. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of fund admin experience required.
  • 2 years of direct experience with cryptocurrency or blockchain-related funds (e.g., Bitcoin trusts, crypto ETFs, or blockchain equity funds) required.
  • CPA or equivalent is preferred.

Compensation

If this position will be performed in whole or in part in New York City, the base salary range is $145,000 - $165,000. Individual salaries may vary based on different factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with this position.
