The Backend Software Engineer L3 is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable and high-impact backend systems. This role involves managing complex projects spanning multiple teams and products, contributing technical expertise and architectural vision. You will drive technical excellence within the team, define quality standards, and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Additionally, you will participate in strategic decisions that align technological solutions with business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality backend systems; lead projects with impact across multiple teams or products.
• Influence system design and recommend technologies to strengthen backend infrastructure.
• Establish technical direction, promote best practices, and lead code reviews to ensure quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

• Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in software development with a focus on backend systems.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Design and consumption of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with microservices and serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
• Knowledge of IaC tools (AWS CDK, Terraform).
• Extensive experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, Kafka, EventBridge).
• Proficiency in NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Practical application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, data security, and good deployment practices.
