About the Data Science Analyst Role

Valley Bank is seeking a Data Science Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert for SAP Business Objects and FIS BIC data models. The role involves analyzing IBS data to build reports and analytics, collaborating with business users, and driving data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as SME for SAP Business Objects and FIS BIC data models.
  • Analyze IBS data and develop reports for various data domains.
  • Offer insights, challenge assumptions, and recommend solutions to enhance data performance.
  • Create extracts and reports to satisfy regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data remediation approach.
  • Participate in data mapping initiatives and bridge requirements with technical feasibility.
  • Lead testing efforts for SAP Business Objects upgrade and migration.
  • Manage extracts, documentation and reporting support in SharePoint.
  • Establish data governance processes for system integration efforts.
  • Communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams on data initiatives.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Analytics (or equivalent) with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience, including hands-on expertise in Data Analysis and Reporting, Business Intelligence, and SQL Programming.
