Position Overview

RiskRelease is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to spearhead national growth in the multifamily housing sector. This founding sales leadership role is responsible for driving new client acquisition, expanding market presence, and building strategic partnerships with owners, operators, and management companies.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute national business development strategy
  • Acquire high-value clients in multifamily, student housing, and SFR markets
  • Conduct consultative needs assessments and align solutions to client objectives
  • Lead contract negotiations and close high-value deals
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams
  • Represent the brand at industry events and conferences
  • Monitor market trends and inform strategic decisions
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in multifamily or real estate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the multifamily market and its operational needs
  • Demonstrated success in meeting revenue goals in a quota-driven environment
  • Excellent negotiation, closing, and objection-handling skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated and results-driven work style

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience selling SaaS or technology-enabled solutions
  • Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger)
  • Proven success in new market development or product launches
  • Strong market research and competitive analysis skills
  • Ability to represent the company at high-visibility industry events

Physical Requirements & Travel

Prolonged sitting, computer use, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs). Less than 20% travel required, with on-site work preferred and potential for hybrid or remote work.
