Graduate Engineer Trainee - Test & Validation at Valeo

As a Graduate Engineer Trainee - Test & Validation at Valeo, you will primarily function as a Metier Engineer, responsible for managing deliverables within your assigned scope to ensure successful project completion. Your role may encompass various stages of a product's lifecycle, from initial design and integration to comprehensive validation of blocks or entire products.

Key Responsibilities and Contributions

  • Perform all activities in strict compliance with the Metier Development Plan for your specific Product Group/Product Line.
  • Systematically review internal requirements, customer requirements, and detailed specifications to ensure alignment.
  • Take charge of delivering robust design and validation, always in line with established economical targets.
  • Provide crucial support in defining technical architecture and assigning adherence to relevant standards.
  • Strictly follow all standardization rules and guidelines during development and testing phases.
  • Actively support design reviews, both internal within Valeo and external with key suppliers.

Compliance with Métiers Processes and Design Rules

Your scope will also involve ensuring adherence to established processes and design methodologies, which may include:

  • Supporting Métier design simulations, coding activities, and comprehensive validation processes.
  • Assisting with Métier design calculations, including worst-case scenarios and statistical analyses, and providing support for thermal studies.
  • Supporting various Métier tests to verify product performance and quality.

Management and Follow-up

  • Regularly report on the progress of your assigned tasks and deliverables.
  • Proactively escalate any identified risks or roadblocks to relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
