About the Role
As a Discipline Engineer specializing in Test & Validation at Valeo, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence within your designated domain. This role requires a proactive and collaborative individual eager to contribute to project success through rigorous testing and validation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Budget Awareness: Demonstrate awareness of project budgets and strive to optimize resource utilization within their scope of work.
- Technical Solution Execution: Execute technical solutions for engineering tasks within defined projects, focusing on Newness levels 1-2 (fully applied or design based on existing rules).
- Problem Solving Support: Actively participate in problem-solving initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers, applying Valeo standard methodologies like QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) to analyze issues and contribute to solution finding.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare clear and concise technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and presentations, to effectively communicate their work.
- Technical Development: Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge within the Discipline, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
- Technical Coaching: Provide technical guidance and support to Discipline Junior Engineers, fostering their onboarding and skill development.
- Design Standard Application: Apply existing design standards effectively in their work, ensuring alignment with Valeo's guidelines and best practices.
- Digitalization Roadmap Adoption: Actively adopt and utilize digital tools and processes outlined in the Discipline's Digitalization Roadmap to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Continuous Improvement Contribution: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for optimization within their scope of work and suggesting improvements to existing processes.
- Innovative Thinking: Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and contribute innovative ideas to enhance existing solutions or develop new approaches.
- Intellectual Property Awareness: Develop an understanding of intellectual property protection and contribute to the identification of potentially patentable inventions.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders within the team, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
