About the Role

The IT SOX Risk and Compliance Consultant at Vaco by Highspring will support the development of an internal audit and SOX compliance program for a fast-growing AI research company focused on safe and interpretable AI systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the buildout of the internal audit and SOX compliance program.
  • Lead and contribute to IT SOX-related projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and improve IT controls.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and supporting audit readiness.
  • Work through the lens of process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting IT SOX programs in high-growth or large company environments.
  • Strong understanding of IT risk, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite; Oracle experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to unstructured environments.
  • Background in process improvement and systems implementation.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary is determined based on skill set, experience, training, certifications, and geographic considerations. Additional discretionary bonuses, medical/dental/vision benefits, and a 401(k) retirement plan are available.
