About the Local Operations Manager Role

This role requires strong communication and handy-person skills. You will handle tasks ranging from simple maintenance like changing a light bulb to assisting guests with technical issues, as well as walking homeowners through monthly statements. You will also support and develop a team of employees.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead and develop a team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Oversee daily operations and workflow management to optimize productivity.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and support escalated guest/homeowner issues.
  • Build strong relationships with property owners, ensuring properties are maintained to high standards.
  • Manage budgets and perform cost-benefit analyses.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
  • Perform light home maintenance and provide cross-coverage when needed.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment with open communication and innovation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry preferred.
  • 1-2 years in operational support roles with housekeeping and maintenance experience.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience in a similar industry is a plus.
  • Technical computer skills with laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Dependability, self-motivation, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both online and in person.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work may occur indoors or outdoors in various settings including homes, resorts, offices, and laundry facilities. Schedules may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet guest and homeowner needs. This is a hybrid work environment with in-person local office worktime required, and reliable transportation is essential.
