Role Overview

The Solutions Architect is the technical lead responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced mission-critical solutions for the Department of War (DoD), allied defense agencies, and commercial partners. The role requires balancing deep technical expertise with a strategic understanding of both defense and commercial technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Architecture: Develop enterprise-level architectures ensuring scalability, security, and DoD compliance (e.g., NIST, RMF, Zero Trust).
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Act as the primary technical interface between engineering teams, business development, and customers; guide implementation through testing and integration phases.
• Proposal & Business Development Support: Assist in capture and proposal efforts by defining technical approaches and creating compelling architecture diagrams.
• Technology Integration & Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI/ML, cloud-native systems, and edge computing; lead prototyping activities.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, export control, and industry best practices while supporting accreditation efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field plus 8+ years experience in systems architecture in defense or aerospace sectors. Demonstrated experience with DoD/federal frameworks, cloud architectures, AI/ML platforms, cybersecurity, and system integration. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree, industry certifications (TOGAF, DoDAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, PMP), cloud certification, and experience with DevSecOps, containerization, and MBSE. Clearance (Secret/Top Secret/TS-SCI) or eligibility is preferred along with U.S. Citizenship.

At V2X Inc, the starting pay is competitive based on experience, with a base salary range of USD $170,000 - $220,000.
