Job Summary
The Research Assistant II, Pediatrics works under general direction to plan, coordinate, supervise, and participate in assigned research projects or perform more complex research assignments. The role is split between experimental research under the lab principal investigator (50% effort) and assisting with laboratory management (50% effort). Candidates with formal study in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, chemistry, or computational biology are preferred, while enthusiasm for learning new techniques is essential.
Job Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise research projects.
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory apparatus and equipment.
- Assemble and analyze experimental research data.
- Assist in preparing materials for reports or publications.
- Supervise junior research staff as needed.
- Perform additional assigned duties.
