This advanced-level role requires a compassionate, solutions-oriented professional with a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field. In a collaborative, fast-paced environment, your clinical insight and case management expertise drive life-changing outcomes for veterans facing housing instability, trauma, mental health challenges, and more.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough client assessments and develop individualized service plans.
- Coordinate services with VA, landlords, employers, treatment providers, and community resources.
- Provide regular one-on-one meetings and conduct home visits.
- Facilitate life skills and therapeutic groups for specialized veteran populations.
- Lead case conferencing, mentor junior team members, and support crisis intervention.
- Document services, complete incident reports, and ensure compliance with program rules.
- Support reporting, audits, and file reviews and supervise interns as needed.
Programs You May Support
The position can be assigned to multiple programs including Transitional Housing, SSVF, HUD-VASH, Workforce Development, Justice-Involved Veterans, and Aftercare & Counseling Services.
You Are
- Mission-driven and passionate about serving veterans.
- Experienced in case management and working with at-risk populations.
- Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Leadership-oriented with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in case management or social services.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic records systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to conduct home visits.
- Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling and/or active registration with BBS is a plus.
