Job Overview

US LBM is a leading and fast growing distributor of specialty building materials in the US, operating over 500 locations across 37 states. The Commodity Buyer - Panels works with senior leadership to coordinate contract negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and execute commodity procurement strategies.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in annual commodity contract negotiations.
  • Procure commodity products and manage supplier agreements.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with commodity partners.
  • Support joint supplier/division business plan meetings.
  • Guide operational leadership on commodity market directions.
  • Execute spot buys, block buys, and forward pricing strategies.
  • Travel quarterly to regional divisions.

Required Skills & Abilities

Strong interpersonal communication, mastery in data extraction, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and project management capabilities are essential.
