This announcement is for a Journeyman Lock and Dam Operator position at a Corps of Engineers navigation facility within the Inland Marine Transportation System (IMTS).
Position Overview/Duties
As a journeyman lock and dam operator, you will be responsible for operating electrically, electronically, and/or hydraulically controlled lock or lock and dam gates, control valves, and other associated equipment. Your primary role will be to facilitate the passage of a variety of private and commercial traffic through the lock structure and maintain required pool levels. Additionally, you will perform other installation repair and maintenance tasks as needed.
