Overview
URBN is seeking a highly motivated Information Security Intern to join our Information Security Team at our home office in the Philadelphia Navy Yard. In this role, you will support efforts to protect URBN from cyber threats and attacks while contributing to strategic initiatives, cyber resiliency, incident response, and technical implementation activities.
Responsibilities
The Information Security Intern will:
- Support monitoring of URBN’s computing environment for security risks and anomalies.
- Demonstrate an awareness of basic information security principles.
- Sift through large data sets and create clear summaries.
- Prepare systems and process documentation with graphics and flowchart narration.
- Exhibit a fast learning ability and persistence in follow-ups.
- Utilize basic tools and techniques for identifying trends and extracting security indicators.
Qualifications
Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Knowledge of Operating Systems, Cloud, Networks, Firewalls, Databases, Web Applications, Information Security practices, IT Standards, OWASP, CVE, and Security Frameworks is an advantage. Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
