Role Impact

As a Software Engineer, AI at Upsun, you design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions that shape how customers work and grow. You will collaborate with the Principal Engineer to transform cutting-edge AI models into scalable production applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go.
  • Integrate AI/ML models including LLMs, decision systems, and reinforcement learning agents.
  • Develop APIs and microservices for agent orchestration.
  • Implement concurrency, event-driven systems, and message queues.
  • Ensure security, reliability, and robust monitoring practices.
  • Collaborate with Data and Product teams to bring prototypes to production.
  • Write clear technical documentation and champion best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years development experience in Go.
  • Experience building applications leveraging AI models.
  • Strong awareness of the AI engineering landscape.
  • Customer-focused problem solving.
  • Understanding of security in AI and application development.

Bonus Points

  • Background in PaaS development.
  • Experience with RAG, MCP, or agent-based systems.
  • Familiarity with Continuous AI in pipelines.

Hiring Locations

This is a remote role with a focus on candidates from France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Visa sponsorship is not provided.
