Job Description

Join UPS and support the planning and optimization of a complex, high-volume logistics network. As a Network Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the proper functioning of UPS Italy's ground network and its integration with the European network. Working closely with Hubs and operational centers, you will utilize data, systems, and operational knowledge to keep the network efficient, especially during peak periods and structural changes.

Tasks

In this full-time and permanent role, you will be responsible for:

• Planning, monitoring, and optimizing UPS's ground network and its connections with other European countries.
• Supporting network operations during emergencies, peak periods, holidays, and structural network changes.
• Analyzing operational data to identify improvement opportunities and ensure network performance.
• Providing operational support and specialized expertise to Hubs and operational centers.
• Utilizing and supporting key business systems, including Opsys, NIS, SEAS, Load Planning, GFTS, and TFCS.
• Supporting hub and center users with operational issues and system-related questions.
• Working on three rotating shifts to ensure continuous network support (07:00-16:00, 08:30-17:30, or 13:30-22:00, including break).

Skills

• Strong interest in network planning, operations, or the logistics environment.
• Good knowledge of English for European collaborations.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Access.
• Familiarity with Power BI.
• Knowledge of tools like Python and SQL is a plus.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills to support decision-making processes.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proactive and problem-solving approach to operational issues.
