Job Description
The Maintenance Technician performs aircraft maintenance on the UPS fleet to meet or exceed airworthiness standards. This role involves replacement, repair, and upgrade of aircraft components, troubleshooting complex systems, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Operate and maintain UPS equipment safely.
- Run, taxi, and tow aircraft for maintenance and repositioning.
- Determine airworthiness according to Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Complete maintenance forms and accurately enter data.
- Inspect aircraft components and ensure proper turnover entries.
- Adhere to Maintenance Department policies and a clean workspace.
- Attend assigned training and perform additional duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum three years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of Boeing, Airbus, McDonnell Douglas, or military aircraft.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read technical manuals.
