Vice President, Operations at UPMC
The VP of Operations for UPMC North Central PA Region (NCPA) is responsible for executive operational management and leadership across multiple campuses including Williamsport, Divine Providence Campus, Muncy, Lock Haven, Wellsboro, and Cole. The role supports the execution of overarching organizational strategies by establishing operational policies, standards, and procedures to deliver best in class patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend Senior Management meetings and engage in hospital-wide strategic planning and policy setting.
- Develop and administer service line policies, patient care standards, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate operational activities across various departments including surgery, pharmacy, imaging, and laboratory services.
- Collaborate with NCPA and system leaders to drive financial viability and service growth.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement process changes as needed.
- Manage employee relations including recruitment, orientation, and professional development.
- Prepare and monitor annual operating budgets in partnership with hospital leadership.
- Foster positive relationships with physicians, employees, patients, and external healthcare agencies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of healthcare or hospital progressive management experience.
- Superior communication, organizational, and human relation skills.
