Job Details

Purpose

The Product Manager, Insurance designs, manages, and implements new digital marketing products and programs for web platforms in support of UPMC Insurance Services Division public digital properties and strategic digital campaigns. This role partners with various stakeholders including front end designers, IT developers, internal clients, and leadership to ensure timely and accurate delivery of digital assets.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap.
  • Gather requirements and secure approvals through effective communication.
  • Participate in strategic planning and PI meetings.
  • Create and maintain product backlog with clear user stories.
  • Coordinate with campaign managers for digital channel updates.
  • Recommend enhancements to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT, Product, Sales, and Creative teams for digital initiatives.
  • Work with digital writers and designers following UPMC style guidelines.
  • Contribute to digital campaign reporting and analysis.
  • Monitor platforms for technical issues and resolve them.
  • Assist in UAT testing for accuracy and optimal user experience.
  • Apply SEO best practices and benchmark performance.
  • Manage multiple tasks with strong project management skills.
  • Maintain a service-oriented approach in all interactions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, marketing technology, advertising, journalism, communications, web development, digital marketing, search marketing required with 3 years of experience in an insurance or medical environment, or relevant product management experience, OR Associates degree with 7 years of experience. Three years of online presence management experience via websites, social media, email, or digital content management is required.

Familiarity with content management systems, website design principles, accessibility, SEO best practices, and proficiency in Microsoft Office/M365 are essential. Experience with tools like Sitecore, Umbraco, Piwik Pro, and Siteimprove is a plus. Regulatory and product filing experience is also required.
