About Uplers' Client: Strategic Transformation Through Digital & Physical Innovation

We are seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer to join a rapidly growing, product-driven team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building scalable infrastructure, automating deployments, and navigating multi-tenant, multi-region cloud environments.

You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to design, construct, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure, while consistently enhancing automation, security, and performance across the board.

What You’ll Do as a DevOps Automation Engineer

  • Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure on both AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning effectively using Terraform.
  • Construct and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
  • Manage containerized applications utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Provide support for multi-tenant and multi-region application architectures.
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and overall availability.
  • Collaborate with developers to refine and improve deployment workflows.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Contribute significantly to infrastructure best practices and comprehensive documentation.

Must-Have Skills for This Role

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Automation.
  • Strong practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Proven working experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with multi-tenant and/or multi-region architectures.
  • Good understanding of Linux systems and fundamental networking basics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a remote team setting.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Kubernetes tools such as Helm, ArgoCD, etc.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch.
  • Exposure to security best practices, including IAM and secrets management.
  • Experience working in startup or fast-paced product environments.
  • Scripting experience, particularly with Bash and Python.
  • Proficiency in cost optimization and cloud performance tuning.
