Role Overview: Head of Finance

This pivotal leadership role is responsible for guiding Upbound through its next chapter of growth by steering financial strategy, overseeing business operations, and ensuring financial health in a high-growth, venture-backed environment.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Leadership & Investor Relations: Partner with the CEO and Board to provide data-driven insights, lead financial planning, and support strategic decisions.
  • Financial Strategy & FP&A: Build and scale FP&A functions, develop robust models, and implement modern financial systems for real-time insights.
  • Accounting & Compliance: Oversee global accounting operations, ensure adherence to US GAAP and international standards, and lead audits.
  • Business Operations & Systems: Design scalable processes across finance and operations, and drive cross-functional initiatives for efficiency.

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years in finance and operations with senior leadership experience.
  • Experience in scaling finance within venture-backed startups.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, usage-based SaaS, and modern FP&A systems.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in board and investor communications.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, BI tools, and SaaS financial systems.
  • Financial qualifications such as MBA, CPA, or CFA are preferred.
