About the Role: Business Development Manager, Europe
We are actively seeking a Business Development Manager to strategically expand our B2B client base across Europe. This pivotal role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities with fintech firms, payment service providers, cryptocurrency exchanges, marketplaces, and other B2B organizations within Europe's rapidly evolving financial markets. As a key contributor to the Growth team, you will manage the entire commercial cycle, from initial prospect identification and engagement to deal closure and supporting successful client integrations.
This position demands a significant external focus, offering you the opportunity to directly influence how global clients interact with UP TOP's innovative services.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Generation & Opportunity Discovery
- Develop and maintain a profound understanding of European financial systems and payment methods, pinpointing businesses facing critical payment challenges.
- Cultivate and sustain a diverse, high-quality B2B sales pipeline within your assigned European territory.
- Execute strategic outreach through active participation in industry events, community engagement, targeted communications, and professional networking.
- Assess opportunities based on strategic value, technical viability, and commercial potential, providing crucial feedback to the Product and Growth teams for continuous service enhancement.
Deal Execution & Commercial Delivery
- Oversee the comprehensive customer journey, from initial inbound/outbound interactions through detailed scoping, negotiation, contracting, and finalization.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth client integrations, meeting expectations, and successful service launches.
- Maintain robust operational protocols within CRM systems, documentation, and internal resources to enable scalable business development initiatives.
Partnership & Market Strategy
- Formulate and execute the regional B2B strategy for Europe, identifying high-value market segments, new applications, and untapped commercial opportunities.
- Remain continuously informed on market, competitive, and regulatory shifts to uncover new prospects in both local and international European markets.
- Contribute to refining our ideal customer profile and enhancing product-market fit as the Web3 and fintech industries mature.
Representation & Ecosystem Engagement
- Actively represent UP TOP at prominent fintech, cryptocurrency, and payment events throughout your region.
- Serve as a key spokesperson for UP TOP's mission and values, championing thought leadership, partner success stories, and compelling case studies.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in business development, partnerships, enterprise sales, or related roles within Web3, DeFi, fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure sectors.
- Commercial Capability: Proven track record of successfully sourcing, negotiating, and closing substantial B2B or institutional contracts.
- Crypto & Market Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of blockchain concepts, stablecoins, digital wallets, exchanges, or cryptocurrency payment systems.
- Regional Expertise: Direct experience selling to or operating within the EU market, coupled with in-depth knowledge of local fintech or payment landscapes.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: A systematic approach to managing sales pipelines, conducting accurate forecasting, and evaluating opportunity values.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with partners and key stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Pipedrive) is highly desirable.
