This key role provides operational and administrative support throughout the entire grant cycle — from the Call for Proposals to grant closure. In the role of Project Management Support Senior Associate, you will ensure compliance with UNOPS policies, support grantee capacity-building, manage documentation, and monitor grant performance and reporting. You will also coordinate assessments related to Prevention of Sexual exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and organizational capacity, flag risks or delays, and help maintain accurate records.

Established in 2016, UNOPS Philippines supports the government and development partners in advancing sustainable development through sustainable procurement, project and grant management, infrastructure, and logistical support. Projects focus on governance, justice, health, and infrastructure with emphasis on capacity building and community resilience toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Role Purpose
The incumbent provides operational and administrative support across the grant cycle, from proposal calls, PSEA and organizational assessments to award, monitoring, and grant closure. The role ensures adherence to UNOPS policies, contributes to risk management, and proactively flags issues for timely and compliant programme delivery.
Functions / Key Results Expected
- Grant Application and Call for Proposals: Provide logistical support, coordinate applicant orientation, screen applications, and maintain records.
- PSEA and Organizational Capacity Assessment: Schedule, coordinate, and compile documentation of assessments supporting PSEA compliance.
- Grant Award and Contract Support: Assist in preparing grant award requests, drafting agreements, and monitoring compliance.
- Grantee Capacity-Building Support: Coordinate training, workshops, track participation, and maintain capacity-building records.
- Grant Closure Support: Assist with final reports, archiving grant files, and consolidating lessons learned.
Education Requirements
Required: Secondary school (or equivalent) with 7 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management, Organizational Development or related fields with 3 years of relevant experience.
Desired: Proficiency in collaboration tools such as MS Office, G-Suite and web-based management systems.
Experience Requirements
Required: Experience in supporting Due Diligence Assessment, organizational development, social audits, and/or assessments in the development sector.
Desired: Some program/project management experience and experience working with CSOs in capacity building.
Eligibility
This vacancy is open only to nationals or those with a valid residence permit in the country of assignment.
