Role Overview - AWS DevOps Engineer
The AWS DevOps Engineer at Unleash live will build, maintain, and scale cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services. The role emphasizes automation, continuous delivery, and infrastructure-as-code principles to ensure resilient, secure, and performant systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- IaC Implementation: Implement and maintain infrastructure using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- CI/CD Pipeline: Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy or Github Actions.
- Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Security: Ensure security best practices are applied across the infrastructure including IAM and Security Groups.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor AWS usage and cost and implement efficient resource utilization strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth application deployment and operation.
What You Have
- Over 5 years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles with focus on AWS.
- Proficiency with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
- Experience with containerisation using Docker and orchestration tools like ECS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Strong Linux system administration skills.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewall concepts.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or Solutions Architect - Professional.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Familiarity with serverless architecture components.
