About the Company

We’re a fast-growing premium matcha brand based in Santa Monica, CA, focused on wellness, performance, and culture. We’re seeking a creative, social-native Social Media Manager who deeply understands short-form content, emerging trends, and effective strategies for organic brand growth on TikTok and Instagram. This role is not about corporate scheduling; we want someone who can think creatively, push boundaries, and help us build a brand people genuinely care about.

Responsibilities of the Social Media Manager

  • Plan and manage content calendars for TikTok & Instagram.
  • Ideate, script, and help direct engaging short-form videos, including UGC, trend-based content, and compelling storytelling.
  • Stay consistently on top of current trends, popular sounds, evolving content formats, and relevant cultural moments.
  • Write captivating captions with strong hooks that authentically reflect the brand voice.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with founders on new product drops, promotional campaigns, and broader marketing initiatives.
  • Post content consistently and actively optimize for maximum engagement.
  • Conduct basic analytics tracking to understand content performance (what’s working, what’s not).

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience successfully growing or managing TikTok / Instagram accounts.
  • A strong, intuitive understanding of short-form video content creation and strategy.
  • A creative thinker who is deeply immersed in internet culture.
  • Comfortable with rapid experimentation and fast iteration cycles.
  • Familiarity with wellness, CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), or lifestyle brands is a bonus.
  • Reliable communication skills and a strong ownership mentality.
  • Proficient video editing skills (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Experience with influencer or User-Generated Content (UGC) coordination.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience specifically with food, beverage, or supplement brands.

Deliverables

  • A comprehensive 30-day content calendar.
  • Consistent delivery of 3–5 posts per week.
  • Ongoing ideation for new content and continuous optimization of existing content.
  • Monthly performance recap outlining key insights and next steps.

Budget

~$1,500/month, depending on experience and scope of work. We are open to both hourly or fixed-price contract arrangements.
