About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Local SEO Content Writer to join our growing team at Opt Digital and take ownership of writing and refining the content that fuels our client campaigns. This role isn’t just about hitting word counts. You will work closely with Content Managers, SEO Specialists, and Account Managers to produce content that ranks, converts, and positions clients as market experts.

What You Will Do

  • Produce polished, search-optimized service pages, blogs, and local landing pages
  • Collaborate with SEO Specialists and Account Managers to translate strategies into compelling content
  • Review, edit, and improve junior writers’ or outsourced teams’ work
  • Write within structured silos to build topical authority
  • Craft conversion-focused copy to drive leads and booked jobs
  • Conduct industry research to ensure accuracy and authority in trades and services niches
  • Refine briefs, templates, and content SOPs to maintain high output quality
  • Support the team by ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met

Opt Digital is a fast-scaling SEO agency supporting trades and service businesses including roofers, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, HVAC, and more across New Zealand, Australia, and the US.
